What's It Like...? Stories of folks doing all kinds of jobs!
Re-Storying Nature - sharing stories that last a lifetime
About Sue Boudreau - producer, presenter, and editor:
Recently retired after a happy lifetime teaching science to middle schoolers here in the Bay Area, California, it’s time for a new chapter. I’m curious about other people’s lives, about how they think about things like poetry and nature and the jobs they’ve chosen. After attending a podcast intensive class with my great pal Estie, I’m excited to get started, using some of the transferable skills of teaching and the research skills gained from the master’s I’m doing in conservation science. Curiosity is not going to kill this cat. Or dog. That’s Mitzi, and she resents the comparison.

About Deborah Bachels Schmidt - co-presenter of “Follow a Fish”:
I am just delighted to be collaborating with Sue on this project. It is also very fulfilling to have returned to poetry, one of my first loves. I never stopped writing, but years of playing flute, teaching music, and bringing up three children meant that for a long time I was very much a closeted poet. I began by self-publishing chapbooks and joining the Ina Coolbrith Circle (coolpoetry.org) and the Marin Poetry Center (marinpoetrycenter.org). To any of you who are considering cracking open that closet door, I can testify that the you will find a generous and welcoming poetry community.
