Have you heard about the amazing reforestation techniques that are preventing the spread of the Sahara Desert? Or that coral reefs are being regenerated? There are so many people and inspiring projects that are actively restoring our planet and fighting climate change. In this forum, we invite participants to share their stories of hope - either from your direct experience (your vacation photos, for example, or work you have done to save a creek) or an amazing restorative activity you have read about. Of course, you are welcome to just learn from others!
The group will be limited to 10-12 participants, small enough to fit around a table and present/converse comfortably. There will be time for eight 5-minute presentations plus 3m for questions and comments. Presenters are invited to share slides, photos or other visuals to susankalmusboudreau@gmail.com. You do not need to be an expert to share. A slide template if you wish, is here.
The goal is to share exciting and hopeful stories about restoring nature and ourselves. From small ideas, we'll help sparks of ideas turn into projects, take shape and grow.
Here's a page of sources for inspiring stories to get you started looking for positive nature stories locally and across the world. See you soon!
